DECEMBER 4 - DECEMBER 8, 2017

Hoping everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving and Christmas is just around the corner.  Encourage your students to stay focused for these next two weeks.

I am available to give students extra help on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings from
8 - 8:25 a.m.  If they have a study hall they can come in for help during that time also.

SCRIP CARDS: Have you checked out the gift cards we have available for sale in our school office? This is through the SCRIP program. ECS benefits by receiving a portion of the sales from these cards. Starbucks, Chipotle, Target, Barnes & Noble and more are available or can be ordered. Now is the perfect time to stock up or find something for that person you just don’t know what to get this holiday season.

4th-8th GRADE: Your student will be participating in the National Geographic Geography Bee the week of 12/4/17. This is a written test administered in class by our MS History teacher, Mr. Jovanovic. There is nothing your child needs to do in advance to be eligible to take this test but the following link is a optional study resource if they would like to prepare in anyway. http://nationalgeographic.org/bee/study If you have any questions please contact Katie@ecsolympia.com or chrisj@ecsonline.cc

Christmas Program:
  • You won’t want to miss our Christmas program on December 5 at 6PM. If you can’t attend in the person, please consider watching it online at http://evergreen.churchonline.org/
  • Students should arrive at this required event at 5PM and be dropped off in the Main Auditorium. Teachers and staff will be on hand to help students. Doors open for parents at 5:30PM.
  • Seats cannot be saved for this program. Prior to the doors opening for the event the room will be cleared of any coats or parents to make sure everyone can enter and find a seat when the doors open.
  • We will be offering a few tables in the lobby for small business owners to showcase their products while you wait for the show to begin.
  • Christmas Concert is required for ALL students. Please remind them that dress is Formal! ALL Band and MS Orchestra members are required to wear “black and white.” ALL other K-8th grade students are required to wear Christmas colors. No jeans, t-shirts, hoods, shorts, tennis shoes, spaghetti straps, etc. All shoes must be black or dark colored.
